PHLEGM v8 Linux native checkpoint 02
Parent: PHLEGM-v8-Developer-Distribution-Linux-Native-01-2026-1007-1334-1680.zip
Original baseline: Host-API-Migration-2026-1007-1323-4645.

Implemented:
- Valid FreeBASIC selector syntax for all canonical host/gfx libraries.
- Pointer-width opaque host handles for native 32/64-bit targets.
- Correct 32-bit C int/unsigned int X11 argument, return, and output storage ABI.
- Linux Phoenix timestamps via clock_gettime/gmtime_r, preserving Windows time behavior.
- Canonical forward-slash console log paths.
- Linux libcurl HTTP transport, retaining remote synchronization callers and shared payload validation.
- HTTP redirects constrained to HTTP/HTTPS, default certificate validation, bounded timeouts, status/content-type inspection, and failed partial-file cleanup.
- Session file-attribute name collision and host-handle prototype mismatch fixed.
- Machine-instance launches routed through HostLaunch.
- Explicit Windows pointer conversions at native window boundaries.
- Standalone Native-Linux-Compile.sh reproduces native library/application compilation without requiring PowerShell; the shared compiler UI/engine remains untouched.

Actual validation:
- FreeBASIC 1.10.1 linux-x86_64 ran in this environment.
- Linux x86_64 OpenGL and Vulkan: all five compilation units compile successfully to native ELF64 objects.
- Linux x86 OpenGL and Vulkan: all five compilation units compile successfully to ELF32 objects using the native x86_64 compiler's linux-x86 cross-target and GNU assembler. This is NOT native x86 execution.
- Windows 32/64 OpenGL/D3D11: all five compilation units pass FreeBASIC Windows code generation. Windows C compilation, linking, and runtime were NOT tested.
- Native x86_64 host smoke executables link and run for both backend selectors; timestamp length/format checked.
- Native HTTP smoke: canonical host root returns HTTP 200; a missing URL returns HTTP 404 and deletes the failed output (including a filename with spaces).
- Native Linux x86_64 OpenGL full build reaches final linker, which fails on remaining Windows library dependencies.
- The downloaded native x86 compiler cannot execute here: Exec format error.

Unfinished and not claimed as passing:
- Full native Linux application link/runtime.
- Windows-specific GUI, GDI/CHR drawing, machine display, waveOut audio, gamepad, and media archive helpers still need native implementations.
- The current gfx_vulkan.lib is a selector, not a completed Vulkan presentation implementation.
- Native x86 runtime and full Windows build/runtime regression coverage.
- No placeholder system libraries or silent renderer/feature substitution were added.

Environment note:
The compiler needed libtinfo.so.5, obtained from the Ubuntu libtinfo5 package and unpacked privately. Existing X11/ncursesw/tinfo libraries were exposed through a private linker directory for the smoke tests. A host with the usual development packages should use normal library discovery. Installing the requested development packages via apt was unsuccessful in this environment. No toolchain is embedded in this source checkpoint.
